NFHS Injury Surveillance Collaborator Dawn Comstock on PBS Panel

BY NFHS ON December 2, 2015 | SPORTS MEDICINE STORY

For 10 years, Dr. Dawn Comstock has conducted the National High School Sports-Related Injury Surveillance System to monitor injuries among high school athletes. The collection of data has been possible through contributions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the NFHS.

Comstock has become a go-to resource for injury data among high school athletics. Earlier this year, Comstock was invited to the White House to participate in a summit on sports-related injuries and concussions. Recently, she appeared on Charlie Rose's PBS program as part of a panel on adolescent concussions.
