The hope of new opportunities, friends, and accolades excites me the most with starting a new year. Each year is a step into the unknown with new ideas, people and blessings. I’m able to learn and continue to develop myself as a person daily. Every night we go to sleep without a guarantee of waking up tomorrow, although we still set an alarm for the next day. This is the hope I have regarding a new year.

With each coming year, I look forward to new experiences, new opportunities, and making new connections. Each new school year/season is a chance to impact those on your team and in your school. I know that if I put forth positive efforts and energy, I will gain positive results. It excites me to know that I can do something greater than myself, meet new friends, and make an impact on everyday life. All of these things are what help us to make a lasting impression on each other and our own character.

With a new season, comes new opportunities – whether it’s a new opportunity to win games in hopes of winning a state championship, having a good game to send to college coaches, a new year to build and develop friendships that can be carried with you farther down your path of life, or even taking the hardships and challenges within each season to mold your character to be the best version of yourself. New goals and changes come from the opportunity of a new season.

Starting a new school year is exciting for me because I can surround myself with new groups of people. I enjoy participating in fun activities through the school like homecoming and prom. Starting a new season is exciting not only because it is my senior year, but also because of high hopes in our soccer team making it to state. I am so lucky to be involved in as many activities as I am to make the most of my senior year!
